Our Mission

The mission of every REALTOR® at Platt Inc. Real Estate is to transcend the notions of traditional real estate agency. Our professionals apply every facet of their varied backgrounds and training to ensure that our clients' needs are not only satisfied, but surpassed.

In a market that is literally flooded with agents to choose from, Platt Inc. agents are not satisfied unless they exceed client expectations for each transaction.

Cameron Platt, JD, CRS, Broker

Cameron Platt is Platt Inc. Real Estate's designated broker.

A native of the Bay Area, Cameron grew up in Alameda and attended high school at Bishop O’Dowd in Oakland (Go Dragons!) After earning his undergraduate degree at U.C. Santa Barbara, he returned to the Bay Area to attend law school at U.C. Hastings in San Francisco before founding Platt Inc. Real Estate and Platt Law Group in 2004. Cameron's business is based in Oakland, but he regularly assist clients throughout the Bay Area, from San Francisco to Walnut Creek, as well as throughout California.

Some unique qualifications distinguish Cameron from other real estate agents:

Business owner. Cameron runs his own companies, which allows him tremendous latitude in the type of work he is able to perform, and for whom he performs it.

 

Legal expertise. Cameron earned his law degree from University of California, Hastings College of the Law, a top-tier law school. In addition to running Platt Inc. Real Estate, Cameron oversees a boutique law practice that focuses on real estate, estate planning, and business matters for a select clientele. Clients who hire Cameron as their real estate agent benefit from his extensive legal experience and expertise, translating into increased value for those he represents.

 

Proven Market Performance. Cameron is a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS). This designation is held by less than 4% of REALTORS® nationwide and is only available to those who have acheived high performance standards and have undergone additional targeted training to better serve their clients. Despite their low membership numbers, CRS designees are responsible for over 27% of residential properties sold in the U.S. every year.

 

Industry Leader. Cameron is the 2012 President of the Oakland Association of REALTORS®, where he has served as a Director since 2010. In addition, Cameron is also a State Director of the California Association of REALTORS®, where in 2012 he will serve on the C.A.R. Forms Committee and on the Advisory Board of the C.A.R. Young Professionals Network (YPN). Cameron has dedicated himself to using the influence of these positions to protect homeownership and private property rights and to better serve the community, his clients, and the industry in general.

 

Technological Proficience. Cameron holds an "e-PRO" designation from the National Association of REALTORS®, granted through a rigorous technology training program, which allows him to better use technology and the internet to better represent client interests.

Melinda Hayes, JD, e-PRO, Broker Associate

Having lived in the Bay Area since the 60's, Melinda is very familiar with the East Bay home market. Melinda received her BA from the University of Utah, MA from UC Berkeley, and JD from San Francisco Law School. A seasoned litigator, she now applies her talents to matching discriminating buyers with unique properties and to representing sellers' interests in maximizing their profits. Her negotiating skills routinely save her clients time and money.

Both first-time buyers of any age and home owners thinking of selling will benefit from her legal training, experience, and community involvement in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.

A Piedmont native, Geoff Wallis is an alumnus of both Piedmont High School and the University of Southern California.
